1. Send file links to users with existing access

  • By default, only department members have access to the department files, unless it was requested to add other departments or All Staff.
  • To Send a Link to a File or Folder internally:

 

Web version

  1. Right click (or select the 3 dots icon) the file or folder
  2. Click Copy Link.

 

 

Explorer 

  1. Right click on the file or folder
  2. Click on OneDrive and select Copy Link

 

 

 

 

2. Send links to internal users that don't have access to the folders

  • Contact IT to add them permanently to your SharePoint, then follow the steps above.
  • If you need to share just a folder or file with just a certain user (occasional sharing) you can follow the steps below:

Web version

    Right click on the file or folder and click Share, enter the internal email address and copy Link

 

Explorer    

    Right click on the file or folder, select OneDrive, click Share, enter the internal email address and copy Link
