Before reaching out to IT check the following:
Does the contact have subscription for the membership type they want to purchase?
-Imis requires a subscription to generate a renewal invoice, if they don't have one then you will have to change their Membership Type to non-member and join them as the member type they would like to be. On check out select "Pay Later" and enter the date in.
Is that subscription active?
-Imis requires an active subscription, if the Status is marked as I or "Inactive" change the subscription Status to be A or "Active".
Does that subscription have a cancellation date?
-Imis requires the subscription to not be marked as cancelled, clear out the Cancellation Date on the subscription.
Does the renewed through date match the paid through date under Membership Details?
-If they previously had an invoice generated their Renewed Through date will be bumped to the current membership year. Set the Renewed Through date to match the Paid Through date.
Dual Members: When we removed the Dual AASM Membership billing item/cycle these users older Full Membership Subscription becomes inactive so iMIS can't "find" them while creating the invoice. To fix this go to the Contact record - > Subscriptions -> Full Membership.
Once its loaded make sure the Paid Through date is set to 12/31/**Previous membership year**, IE 12/31/2023 if renewing for 2024.
Set the Status to 'Active'.
Make sure to inactivate any other membership subscriptions that may be active.
Previously Generated Invoice that was Cancelled: When an invoice is generated the renewed through date get adjusted for that year but doesn't get reverted when the invoice is cancelled. To fix this go to the Contact record - > Subscriptions -> Full Membership. Change either the Renewed through or Contact:RenewedThru field back to the correct membership year IE 12/31/2023 if renewing for 2024.
Invoice Generated but not Appearing: If you generated an invoice successfully but you don't see it in their account that means they are paying by AutoPay. The Invoice will appear after verifying that the status says Unposted. Click the identifier under the Batch column and set the Status to Ready by click Set Ready and then Post Batch.
