How to test prorate in iMIS

How to test AASM Prorate

  1. Open https://members.aasm.org/and login with your staff credentials
  2. In a new incognito browser (private browser) go the front end AASM site to https://members.aasm.org/
  3. Create a new user account (use an @mailinator.com email address for test accounts)
  4. Once the test contact is created go to your staff portal and find the member you just created either by email, name, or ID
  5. Once you’ve found the contact, go to their Subscriptions tab
  6. Under membership details modify the Billing Category according to which membership type you want to test and save. (use the chart below to make your selection):

  8. Go back to your incognito window logged in as your test user, and apply for the membership you selected for your billing category
  9. Once you get through the application, verify pricing on the Invoice page
  10. Use your staff account to provide your test user with a $0 membership and checkout

  11. Testing Membership from a lapsed member (2023)
    *To test pricing from the perspective of a lapsed (2023) user who was dropped from membership (these users do NOT get access to prorated pricing)
    1. Under your staff account, with your test user selected, again visit the subscriptions tab
    2. Click the edit/pencil Icon at the top of the account to the right of the users name and email address (This is located above the iMIS ID).
    3. At the bottom of the editor window select Inactive for the status and Save
    4. Under the Membership details section click the edit/pencil icon and change the paid through date to 12/31/2023 and the renewed through date to 12/31/2023 and save
    5. Repeat steps 8 and 9 (you may need to refresh the invoice to get updated pricing)

  12. Testing Membership from a reinstated member (2022)
    *To test pricing from the perspective of a previous year lapsed member (2022) or a true reinstated member (These users should have access to prorate)
    1. Under your staff account, with your test user selected, again visit the subscriptions tab
    2. Click the edit/pencil Icon at the top of the account to the right of the users name and email address (This is located above the iMIS ID).
    3. At the bottom of the editor window select Inactive for the status and Save
    4. Under the Membership details section of the Subscriptions tab click the edit/pencil icon and change the paid through date to 12/31/2022 and the renewed through date to 12/31/2022 and save
    5. Repeat steps 8 and 9 (you may need to refresh the invoice to get updated pricing)

How to test AASM facility membership ONLY

  1. Complete steps 1-3 above
  2. Under your staff account go to Add Contact under Community
  3. For Account type select Organization
  4. Create a name for your test facility
  5. To add a test company administrator for your test facility, lookup the test contact that you created for your test facility account and click Save
  6. Go back to your incognito window logged in as your test contact account, click their name in the top right corner and go to My Account
  7. On the left menu click on My Organizations and select your test organization
  8. Once in your test organization, click on the Join button, follow the application until you get to the invoice page, there you can verify pricing
  9. Test membership from lapsed or reinstated member (2023 or 2022)
  10. Under your staff account window, search for locate your test facility
  11. Under your test facility click the Membership tab
  12. Click the edit/pencil Icon at the top of the account to the right of the users name and email address (This is located above the iMIS ID).
  13. At the bottom of the editor window select Inactive for the status and Save
  14. Under the Membership section click the edit/pencil icon and change the paid through date to:
    • If testing a 2023 lapsed member: 12/31/2023
    • If test1ing a reinstated member: 12/31/2022
  15. and the renewed through date to:
    • If testing a 2023 lapsed member: 12/31/2023
    • If test1ing a reinstated member: 12/31/2022
  16. Save and verify pricing by repeating steps 8 and 9 above



How to test SRS Prorate

  1. Open https://members.sleepresearchsociety.org/and login with your staff credentials
  2. In a new incognito browser (private browser) go the front end AASM site to https://members.sleepresearchsociety.org/
  3. Create a new user account (use an @mailinator.com email address for test accounts)
  4. Click the Membership application you want to test
  5. Once you get through the application, verify pricing on the Invoice page
  6. Use your staff account to provide your test user with a $0 membership and checkout
  7. Testing Membership from a lapsed member (2023)

*To test pricing from the perspective of a lapsed (2023) user who was dropped from membership (these users do NOT get access to prorated pricing)
