Verify your phone number and phone service is working

Modified on Mon, 26 Apr, 2021 at 12:02 PM

  1. Launch Microsoft Teams desktop application
  2. Click the "Calls" app on the left menu.
  3. Confirm that your phone number is appearing above the Dial Pad in the lower left corner of the screen. This is your direct phone number that you can give to people who want to call you directly. If you previously had a direct phone number with Mitel confirm that number has been carried over through migration. If you choose to, you can update your email signature with this number. (If you do not see a number contact IT for assistance.)
  4. Confirm outbound calls are working properly by calling your cell phone. Enter your cell phone number in the Dial Pad and clicking "Call". Once you answer the call verify audio is coming through on both ends.
  5. Confirm inbound calls are working properly by calling your direct Teams phone number from your cell phone. Do the reverse of the previous step. Once you answer the call verify audio is coming through on both ends.
