Add ILT (Webinar Event) in IMIS and Sync to TopClass LMS

This tutorial covers how add an ILT course (Zoom Webinar) to the TopClass LMS. All ILT Activities in TopClass must first be created on the iMIS platform as events and then they are synced to TopClass. 


1. Click "Add event" under Event modules in left navigation in iMIS staff portal

2. Enter all relevant basic information about the event and make sure you select "Virtual webinar" as the Category. "Virtual Conference", "Virtual  webinar", "Virtual meeting" are the only categories that sync to TopClass.

3. Click "Save"

4. Click "Capacity"

5. Go to "Registration" tab and enter Capacity for the event. If unlimited enter a high number.

6. Enter start and end dates for when registration opens and closes

7. Go to "Pricing" tab and click "Add new registration item"

8. Enter Registration option code and Registration option name. The name will appear as the name of the webinar in Zoom.

9. Enter the start and end time for the webinar. This will be synced to Zoom webinar.

10. Click "Save"

11. Go to "Pricing" tab and set pricing as necessary. If free you can check "Comp"  on the "Default" and "Members" row. Save when finished.

12. Click "Plan" tab

13. Click "Add support staff"

14. Select "Facilitator" under Support Staff for Support Type

15. Click "Select" under Staff Person

16. Search and select "Kaitlan Willis" contact record in the search popup Search for UserID "914245" and select as contact record from the search popup. *Note1*

17. Type "ZOOMHOST" in the "Note" textbox and Save

18. Click "Save & Close"

19. Click "Save & Exit"

20. Login

21. Log in to TopClass administration area and Click "Learning Activities"

22. Click "Sync Activities" to sync your new event to TopClass as a Learning Activity.

23. Your new activity should now appear in the list of Learning Activities

24. To fix a known bug where the time zone is set incorrectly in Zoom, log in to Kaitlan Willis's Zoom account and Navigate to "Webinars" or go to us02web.zoom.us/webinar/list#/upcoming

25. Find the webinar that was created and click "Edit"

26. Update the Time Zone to "Central Time (US and Canada) and click "Save"
