Creating Data Filters and Data Extensions from Data Filters

Modified on Tue, 11 Oct, 2022 at 5:56 PM

Data filters are designed to create multiple data extensions.

To see sample filters navigate to the Email tab, then under Subscribers, select Data filters. From there you can select the "Sample Filters" folder to view some filters that have been created to build off of.

Building off of an existing data filter to create a new data extension

EX: I want to create a data extension for users who've registered for Trends 2023

To do this go to the "Sample Filters" folder and find the "Marketing - PMC2022" data filter because this already is being used to pull users who have registered for the Practice Management Course 2022.

Select the "Marketing - PMC2022" data filter, from here we can modify the filter to include the new event code; TRENDS2023

Once that is complete, click "Save As Filter" to create a new data filter, give it a name and select it's corresponding folder.

Once you save, you will be brought to your new data filter and you can create a data extension from here by selecting "Create Data Extension"

Just create a name for the data extension and save it in it's corresponding folder and once it's done processing and adding users to the data extension, it will be ready to send to.
